The Space:
Welcome to this amazing 2 bed 2 bath apartment in the heart of Central London! This perfectly designed flat is only about 7-8 mins to Marble Arch station. From here you can walk to the iconic Park Lane, Hyde Park, Selfridges and Oxford Circus.
The flat is located on a busy street (not surprising since this is really the heart of London), just around the corner from one of the best foodie streets around. Some of my favourite restaurants are here - try the wines and small plates at Vinoteca or amazing Basque cooking at Donostia!
Right - back to the flat then - its 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room is spacious with big windows on one side. This brings in ample light even though the flat is located in the basement level. There is a double sofabed in the living room which allows for a comfortable sleep for two adults.
On one side of this living room is a kitchen - it is fully equipped with everything you need including oven, toaster, kettle and lots of pots and pans.
On the other side of the living area, you will find the bedrooms. There are two good sized bedrooms both with double beds. There is a chest of drawer in each bedroom for you to unpack. There is also ample hanging space in the passage way between the bedrooms. When you arrive, you will find the beds made up in luxury linens with 300 thread count!
Both bathrooms are located outside the bedrooms. The smaller one is located opposite one of the bedrooms and has a shower stall. The larger bathroom has a tub and a shower. In both bathrooms, I provide clean white fluffy towels, shampoo and shower gel. And yes, there is a hair dryer for the ladies.
The flat also comes with an iron, ironing board and washing machine. If you need anything more to make your stay comfortable, please just let us know.
Due to wear and tear, please note I have removed the rugs in the living room and bedroom that you can see in the photos.
Transport Notes:
The closest tube station is Marble Arch which is about 7 mins walk from the flat. This is on the Central Line. However you can also walk to Bond Street station and catch the Jubilee line - this will take you straight to Westminster for all the big sights such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
Guest Access:
The entire apartment is available for the guests.
Interaction with Guests:
I will organise an in-person check in at the flat where you will be given the keys along with a tour of the flat, instructions to use it and tips about the local areas. But please keep all conversations on Airbnb inbox.
The Neighborhood:
Mayfair and Marble Arch are synonymous with style and luxury. Well heeled residents go about their affairs in their fancy cars or spend time in Home House - an exclusive club nearby. This area draws in a lot tourists who are looking for shopping and eating but at the higher end.
First thing to do when you arrive here is to walk over to Hyde Park (unless it is raining). I would pick up a Santander City cycle there and roam this beautiful park! Next, have some high tea at one of London's 5 star hotels. Nothing beats the tea at Dorchester Hotel which is about 10 mins away.
Then go and shop to your heart's contents at Selfridges or the high street brands on Bond Street. Gawp at the big brands of jewellery such as Graff, Tiffany, De Beers on New Bond Street!
There are loads of amazing restaurants scattered around the small streets of Mayfair. You can even explore Marylebone area on foot from here.
